and baby makes 4!

we had the baby!!! woohoo!!!!! a week ago to be exact..i went in on Thursday August 11th in the morning and had her at 6:32pm that night. She was born at 6lbs 13 ounces and 19 inches long. My delivery and labor SUCKED big time... i went to the hospital at 6am and got my epidural around 9am. it didn't numb me completely... it numbed only my right leg and nothing else... i kept feeling everything and thought it was weird but didn't complain too much. finally i couldn't handle the pain and said something to the nurses. thought this was weird since i had the BEST epidural with Jacob's delivery. the other doctor came in and tried to fix the epidural but it didn't work so she had to re do it completely. i liked her much better than the other doctor. she was the one who did my epidural when i was in labor with Jacob. this one took for a few hours and i was in blissful numb heaven. then around 4:30pm it started to wear off... i felt the contractions and the pain and the pressure. i asked the nurses if that was normal and if something was wrong with the epidural. the nurse was a new nurse so she's still getting trained and i think she messed up when she put in the new epidural bag... i can't prove that it was her fault but i really feel like she didn't know what she was doing. she messed up on alot of other stuff too that were minor (to me) like some of the charting stuff but the other nurse was able to catch those mistakes. i am thankful for my husband who was there the ENTIRE time and didn't even go eat. i was in so much pain and kept crying. the only parts of me that were numb in the end were my legs around thighs and down. not very helpful...i felt like pushing but i knew i wasn't supposed to yet but i can see why women bear down when the pressure is there... it really hurts and you want to do anything you can to stop it... but i kept trying to stop the pressure and breathe through it all... i didn't take lamaze this time and i regret it... anyhoo i pushed about 4 sets of 3 times and out came the baby! Baby Nicole Yoona Oh joined us and i was so happy to see her.. i didn't feel my ob stitching me up after i tore since i was still sore from pushing her out. that was quite nice at least. i had the shivers and was shaking so badly for about 2 hours afterwards that they had to wrap me up in warm blankets from head to belly and i couldn't even hold her since i thought i was going to drop her. apparently my lips turned blue and both the hubby and nurse were worried. ooh and i swelled up so badly towards the end and looked like i was going to pass out while pushing... lovely... anyways, the hubby brought me food from my mother in law (Who watched jacob ALL day) and i ate around 9:30pm. it was lonely at the hospital by myself for the two nights and the day times were quiet too.. the hubby had to go home to take care of jacob and watch him until the morning and then went to work until the early afternoon. i had a few members of family visit for a few minutes each but overall i was in bed with Nicole reading, sleeping, eating, or watching tv. They let me take a shower and that was nice but still wish i had someone with me.. oh wells. i came home on Saturday morning and am SOOO tired... i haven't loaded all the pictures from the various cameras but here are some from my phone...
