new camera

My old Sony digi has decided to go kaput on me. it lasted for a few years for which i am very grateful but i really wanted a new camera. i was hoping to get a new canon but it seemed wasteful to spend so much on a new camera when we have a perfectly wonderful (albeit BIG) dslr at home. i wanted a point and shoot but oh wells... then last week the hubby came home with a pretty red camera for me!!!! he suprised me with a new camera for our 6 month anniversary!! wow! he got me the canon powershot sd780 in red!!!! very pretty!
isn't it pretty?? i love it! the pictures come out soooo clear and it even has hd video on it!!!! wow!!!! i got so excited that the first picture i took with it was of the hubby. :) he didn't appreciate the fact that he was trying to eat but i got some good shots!!! he ended up getting even with a shot of me napping on the couch though. i look oh so lovely with my head coming off the pillow and my mouth open. its okay though. i hope to get good use out this camera soon!!! i know that i want to go on mini trips before i get much bigger so hopefully we can get away a few times in the next few months...
