it has been a tough weekend. very busy and full of drama.
saturday i woke up at 6 with the kiddo and when i tried to lay on the ground while he played, he kept coming over and whacking me on the face with the toy phone.. sigh.. he thinks of me as a human jungle gym i guess. after the hubs woke up, i ran errands (target, market, etc) and came home to the kiddo whining... i can see two more top teeth pushing against the gums so i understand why he's whiny but i'm too tired... anyways, the rest of the day is a blur. baby J had a haircut appointment and i really can't remember anything else except being tired. I had nightmares all night about work and woke up sunday tired. one great thing was that Target had a sale on similac so i went back today to get some more bottles since it was $2 off each bottle. crazy cheap. i managed to come home and start cooking before baby J woke up from his nap and had to bribe him with cheerios on a tray on the floor so he would stop whining while i finished cooking. we played a bit and i'm sure some other stuff happened but i really can't remember. he's walking everywhere now and likes to carry stuff so he tends to trip and fall. well he has a bruise on his leg and he fell against the bar chair and cut his lip.. there was so much blood. we freaked out and after washing his mouth and offering him some water so we could see how bad it was (teeth are fine), he calmed down. it wasn't as bad as we originally thought and it actually is pretty much all better now. he's finally in bed. oh i had to wait to cook his other meals since i needed someone to watch him. Luckily the hubs came home before jake's dinner so i could start making the bolognese sauce for his baby spaghetti. it was my first time making sauce from scratch but it came out pretty good. smells great but tastes a bit bland since i didn't add any seasoning. i'm sure if i added my usual spices and herbs, it would have tasted much better.
So the kiddo has spaghetti for lunch this week and this cheesy pasta star thingie with chicken for dinner.
