lemon bars

OKay, i haven't updated in a long time... i keep meaning to resize all the pictures from the wedding and post them but i'm getting very lazy... plus i have some pictures from the honeymoon that need to be posted as well... anyways, quick update... we FINALLY sent out our thank you cards (2.5 months after the wedding), are still working on the renovations to the house, have been super busy running errands every weekend, keep getting sick on alternate weeks, and are planning for our futures. anyways, this past week i got into a total baking mood and decided to make some lemon bars. i thought the bars would come out being tasty since i love lemons.. boy was i wrong...it was supposed to come out something like the picture above... but instead it came out kind of flat... very disappointing... i don't know if i handled the recipe wrong but i haven't had such a bad experience baking since i was 11. i guess i'll stick to cupcakes and cookies for awhile. i really want to try my hand at making a cake that doesn't look homemade...hmmm.. maybe the cooking bug will bite me soon... hopefully... anyways, i'm going to see if i have enough energy to make brownies this weekend... i think those should come out much better than my lemon bars... sigh...
